________________
Born in 1962, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Jon Ingle and his alter ego, "The Lady Bunny" is a drag performer who has lived in New York since the 1980s. As the founder and emcee of the annual "Wigstock" (an annual drag celebration that started in New York's East Village and is held every Labor Day acting as the official end of summer in the gay community) in the 1980's, "Lady Bunny" is also a well-known nightclub DJ, promoter and celebrity. She has released disco singles such as "Shame, Shame, Shame!" in 1996 and "The Pussycat Song" in 1997.
She has appeared in films such as 1995's Wigstock: The Movie, To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar, 1997's Peoria Babylon and 2008's Another Gay Movie Sequel: Gays Gone Wild! Alongside Larry Tee and the one and only RuPaul, "Lady Bunny" began her career as a fixture on the Atlanta, Georgia gay scene, as well as appearing in a variety of low budget films with them.
The "Lady Bunny" has her own blog, taking on current affairs and cultural issues as only she can. And when it comes to her style of drag performing, it usually involves lip synching to karaoke versions of popular songs, which she has dubbed over her own parody vocal tracks, replacing the original lyrics, and are usually (a) sexually explicit, (2) involve food, or both. Her parody of Gwen Stefanis' song "Hollaback Girl" as an example has the lyric "I shit a banana/a banana in my ass!"
"The Lady Bunny" was a roaster on the Comedy Central Roast of Pamela Anderson in 2005, and released her first DVD, "Rated X for X-tra Retarded”. As well as her special guest appearances on OUTtv ("House of Venus Show", a queer sketch comedy series) and the pilot episode of "Laugh Out", in 2006 Lady Bunny made her first appearance at Southern Decadence in New Orleans. A regular contributor to "Star Magazine" in their weekly feature, "Worst of the Week", "Lady Bunny", along with radio DJ "Goumba Johnny" Sialiano and a cast of other commentators, critiques Hollywood starlets who are photographed in unflattering outfits, and was recently moved the from the back page to a more prominent place in the first half.
Lady Bunny has appeared on the big screen most recently in Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild.
